Buy this kind of image for a wall people can actually reach: a hallway, a stair landing, the side of a desk, a dining room where guests get up and wander.

Close viewing sets the standard for what is worth hanging. Edges have to stay crisp where a stem crosses the background, the background itself should be plain enough not to compete, and colour should look like the plant or the animal rather than a filter laid over it. Anything smoothed until the texture disappears looks fine in a thumbnail and disappointing from a foot away.

Backgrounds decide room fit more than the subject does.
